IPR5000w Software Installation/Updates Instructions

Check the release notes below for any special instructions.

Double click the file to start the installation process.

Follow the on-screen prompts.

After the Windows Installer finished, click the icon on your desktop to run the IPR5000w Software.

Set firewall permissions: When the IRP5000w software is executed the first time, you may be prompted for permission to access the network by the Windows firewall (if it is enabled).

If permission is not granted, audio reception will be sporadic, sometimes working for a few seconds then cutting out when the firewall starts blocking VoIP packets.

Additional Installation Notes: It is not necessary to first uninstall the previous version of the IPR5000w Software. It possible to install multiple versions of the IPR5000w in different directories.

    Important Notes:
    • If it is already registered, it may download an updated settings file, restart as usual, then appear to hang at the "loading settings" screen on startup. Turning
      the channel knob will resolve this issue and run normally. It is recommended to update your software to the newest version.
    • After updating to to V1.05 or later, it will be necessary to re-register. This will not generally be necessary after following updates.
